Orientation on Job Fair by ProEdge Consulting and Training

 

The third year BBM and BCom students were addressed on 3rd March ’17 between 1:30 pm

and 2:30 pm by Ms Tejdeep Kaur, Managing Director -ProEdge Consulting and Training.

    ProEdge proffers innovative training solutions and wide range of skills and competencies that is vital for achieving success in today’s world. ProEdge offers a vast array of training programmes ranging from basic communication skills to leadership programs.

Ms Kaur emphasised on the present day outdated syllabus and hence, the need for professional education that suits the industrial demands.

She enlightened the students on the courses available at ProEdge, especially the skill oriented programs; Hire training and Deployment and other professional courses. She largely spoke about Indian BFSI [Banking, Finance, Service and Insurance] sector and provided the statistics on it.

She mentioned that BFSI has to be innovative and capable of adapting to market changes .Further, she enumerated the challenges faced in the Indian Economy. Hence, there is a requirement for Management Training and Communication Training Programs.

Currently they'll be hiring and training for Sharekhan, Way2wealth, Anand Rathi, Fincare and Datasigns and also short listing for some other companies which is on the pipeline.

 

They will be providing job assistance to the students of potential and interested colleges for about 1,100+ job mandates across for careers in Financial Services. The starting salary would be in range of INR 1.8 lacs to INR 5.5 lacs.

 

Their approach will be as follows:

  • Giving Orientation to the students and taking aptitude test and interview of the interested candidates for short listing purpose.
  • Map the candidates to the various companies participating in drive based on candidates’ interest and company’s requirement.
  • Shortlisted candidates would be provided 1 day free training on domain specific knowledge and soft skills.
  • Candidates would appear for interview with the companies in Bangalore. The companies would select the candidates and would provide list of shortlisted candidates to them.
  • The selected candidate needs to undergo an advanced training (chargeable depending on the company who has selected) as designed in conjunction with the companies, with them as this would be condition to be fulfilled by a candidate to be eligible to join the company. The training cost would be in range of INR 10,000 - INR 12,000, but this would be given only to the selected candidates.

 

She ended the orientation by informing the students that if they were interested in the job drive she would consider conducting it in the college premises by giving a preferential slot to DSBA.
