He taught the students the way to communicate with people while approaching /seeking for help. A game was conducted in which the students had to guess the name of a personality just by asking seven questions. This made the students to become creative thinkers. They were taught coding and decoding with the help of a game. The session continued with grammar and topic was ‘Parts of Speech’. Next, the students were taught nouns and types with help of a game. This activity helped them explore and learn unique, new things and names. This was followed with pronouns and its types.

The next session was on adjectives and degrees of comparison. Students had to make rhymes with six lines. They were taught order of adjectives to help them make expressive sentences. This was followed by adverbs and its types, rearranging of jumbled words into meaningful sentences. A game was also played in between to check student’s retention and concentration.

Mr Vivek took a session on tenses. Students were asked to write various examples and give a syntax for each tense. After the lunch break, students had to write an essay on a topic of their choice and the trainer corrected each one, identified and rectified the errors.

There was a session by Mr Mohsin who conducted a group activity. The highlight of the task was to be unified which was the essence of the group activity. A vocabulary building game was conducted; wherein, few letters were given, students had to form words. They realized their weakness at vocabulary as making four-letter words was easier than making five/six letter words. Nevertheless, all tried really hard to come up with words.

The next day, students were asked to introduce themselves in an innovative, unique and creative way which helped each one to know themselves really better. Grammar session included types of sentences, its uses and the way to punctuate sentences.

Vocabulary sessions were conducted every day. Five new words were given and students had to find synonyms and antonyms for each word and also make a sentence using that word.

Direct and Indirect Speech, Active and Passive Voice were the other grammar lessons taught in the next two or three sessions with number of examples. This resulted in students understanding these topics really well.

The topics -Letter and email letter writing was covered the next day. Clear instructions were given on the right format. The students were also given tips about how to construct the body of the letter. An entertaining game followed. The students were divided into groups and the groups were assigned a name. 25 words were given to each group. Each group had to make a story using the words given with the names of the other groups. It was fun filled activity.

A talk on difference between a debate and discussion followed. Many students who didn’t know the difference were enlightened that day.

Vocabulary building activity followed. In the first activity, a topic was chosen. Students had to choose a word related to the topic and make a new word with the last letter of that word which once again had to relate to the topic. By the end of the activity, students had made words on variety of topics such as cars, countries, colours, animals etc. The other activity was to find rhyming words of four/five/six letter words. Following that activity was another one, where students were given prefix and suffix. Students had to add them to the root words and make new words and find meanings.

On the following days, the other grammar topics were discussed-Prepositions, Conjunctions and Interjections.

On the last day of the program, team activities were conducted. In the first task, three sheets of papers were given and the students were asked to make as many creative things as possible. Students came up with easy Origami crafts like rocket, ball, basket, frame, book, frog and many more. For the next activity, students were provided 30 toothpicks and glue and were asked to make things using it. Common things made were doll, frame, house, arrow and many more such things. This was clearly an innovative and creative task. The next activity was A-Z alphabet puzzle. A word was given to a team and they had to add one letter to the word and form a new word and this word was carried forward to the next team who was given a chance to add a syllable and form a new word and so on. This was also an exciting game.

The session concluded with Analogies and its types and the important things that one must remember about them.
