CIL –Training on Teamwork and Interpersonal Skills

On the 30th of May 2023, a session was held for the commerce students of Dayanand Sagar Business Academy on behalf of the Centre for Innovation and Leadership. The students were trained keeping in mind the necessary teamwork and communication skills that would prove to be useful once they enter the real world and start their careers in the respective fields.

The trainer, Mr. Mukesh had a friendly disposition and captured the attention of the class them moment he entered. His own background story in Sales was an inspiration to all including those who were weak in academics. Mr. Mukesh had perfected the art of maintaining a playful atmosphere while simultaneously demanding the students’ attention.

The students were divided into 3 groups with 9 in each group. Mr. Mukesh then engaged the class with several team building activities. An auction was held, and the students participated by bidding on the main and additional qualities that are essential to have a smooth inter-personal relationship. For e.g., qualities like Communication and Leadership were bid for certain amount of money. The other activities involved presenting a real-life case study and then performing a skit showcasing any one of the valued that the team bid on.

In conclusion, the training in teamwork and communication sharpened the students’ awareness and gave them a piece of real-life experience. The day and the activities proved to be a memorable and remarkable experience that showed them the worth of investing in team building, communication, and leadership.
