Session on Drug Awareness

It was a Saturday when Inspector Mr. Vijay Kumar and Sub Inspector Mr. As Durgappa and few other constables visited our college to spread awareness about Drugs and other consumables. They showed us 2 videos regarding different real life events. We understood how different types of drugs are consumed and how students can easily be influenced at this age. The abuse of alcohol and illicit and prescription drugs continues to be a major health problem and has reached the highest cases around the world. The Police officers explained us how these incidents can be avoided and if we knew anyone who are going through such abuses to inform the police and that action can be taken immediately. The Officers explained how it would effect our lifes and our families especially our health which is utmost important. The Police took a wonderful decision to immediately come to our college and spread awareness among the students and they are always their for us and our safety. The videos showed us how one can get influenced, how it would effect our health and mental health, how it would effect our families and how it deeply impacts us after the loss or incidents. We ended the session with a oath where we stated not to get influenced by any sort of drugs or alcohol and that if we are aware of such activities we would inform the police and always would serve the nation and be better citizens and future of the country.
