IQAC Report on NIRF Orientation

On 14th February 2023, Dayananda Sagar Business Academy hosted an orientation session for faculty members on National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) under the aegis of IQAC. Dr. Veena KN, Principal DSBA, led the session, during which she presented the following inputs and insights on the ranking framework to the members present.

• She discussed the distinctions between accreditation, ranking, and ratings as they apply to higher educational institutions.
• She presented a summary of the ranking framework and acquainted faculty members with the key components, parameters, and weightages included in NIRF.
• She summarised the significance and benefits of NIRF for the institution and its stakeholders.
• Moving forward she emphasised the value of faculty members' research and publication work, which is a crucial parameter, and urged the members to focus on the same for the institution's best possible positioning under NIRF ranking.
• Further she added that reviewing our strategies and action plans as well as benchmarking ourselves against institutes of excellence are crucial for the progress and growth of the institution.
• She concluded that, moving forward, it is essential for the institution to prepare for NIRF participation, which helps to evaluate the institution's performance and growth and distinguish it from the competitors.
• Prof. Vasudeva Rao, the coordinator of the BCA department, gave his positive feedback on the session.

Prof. Renuka Babladi, IQAC Coordinator, presented a vote of thanks to conclude the session. She expressed her gratitude to Dr. Veena KN for her insights on NIRF and thanked the coordinators and faculty members for their presence.
