Pre-placement training is imparted to all the final year students, as part of the curriculum to enhance the competency among students with respective various soft skills and domain specific areas like Finance, HR, Marketing etc. Preparing for the placement’s is the first step to starting one’s professional career. It also paves a path for a professional career, hence ensuring a bright future. Placements are very significant in one’s life to kick start one’s career.

TOPICS COVERED:

• Resume making.
• Group discussion.
• Interview.

The session started at 9:30 AM our class coordinator Prof. Sudeep Sir welcomed the speaker of the session Mr. Ragavendra Sir. Ragavendra Sir gave a brief introduction about his work life and career. The first thing he thought us how to create a professional resume and he gave a sample of resume format to all the students and He suggested few websites to create a professional resume. He also taught us how to write a professional email.

Later he divided the whole class into 3 groups with 10 members each in a group and gave different topics for group discussion the topic are as follows:

• Marketing basket is a benefit for customers or company.
• Digital marketing is a scam.
• Is 75 % attendance mandatory.

Even the speaker joined us in the discussion.

We all had personal interview with speaker, he gave one aptitude test which we are required to answer in our personal interview.

Each one of us attended the interview with different set of questions.

He thought us how to deal with the different Situation’s in the interview. This session continued till 4:30 PM, at last we were provided with the feedback sheet and we all gave our personal feedback about the session.

This session taught us lot of things about the placement and gave us a brief information about the interview process.

Each one of us carried a bulk of information by the end of session.
