6. Roles and Responsibilities
6.1 Principal: Head of the institution (DSBA) for all Academic and Administrative decisions.
Communicate with the top management to set short term and long term goals for DSBA

Design and implement process to realize the set goals

Strategize Academic process and Delivery

Liaison with institutes of repute and identify best practices for possible implementation

Design academic process to meet national and international benchmarks

Assess and Plan support systems and ensure its adequacy

Ensure compliance (with university and other agencies as applicable)

Mentoring and extending academic support to faculty

Overall monitoring of all academic and academic administration which includes surprise visits to class and ensure discipline

6.2 Dean: Academic head of the institute (DSBA), reports to the principal, implements decision with approval from the principal.
Communicate with Principal to design and implement process in order to realize the set goals

Identify suitable programs / courses to augment student learning

Design and implement academic process to move towards nationally and internationally acceptable quality standards

6.3 HOD: Head of the Under Graduate programs, reports to dean, monitors academic activities as per plan.
Communicate with Dean in order to implement process and ensure effective academic delivery

Monitor student attendance, internal assessment and syllabus completion

Coordinate and Monitor day-to-day academic activities and academic progress
|

Present progress reports and maintain documents

Design, plan and supervise club activities in coordination with club coordinators

6.4 Class Teachers: Faculty in-charge for assigned class during academic semester.
Monitor daily routine/ timetable

Prepare and maintain internal assessment marks as per guidelines

Interact with parents during PTM and as & when required

6.5 Manager, Admissions: is the contact person for query related to admission to programs offered at DSBA. He / she is also responsible for Marketing / Promotion and Public & Corporate relationship management.
7.1 Committees and Cells -
DSBA has various committees and Cells such as Examination committee, Disciplinary committee, Grievance Redressal committee and Equal Opportunity cell to ensure student well-being and smooth conduct of academic, extra-curricular and Co-curricular activities.
Examination committee ensures smooth conduct of internal examination and addresses students' grievances related to internal examinations.
Equal Opportunity cell addresses issues related students from SC / ST, minority and other backward communities.
Disciplinary committee monitors overall discipline on campus and keeps the campus free of ragging.
Grievance Redressal committee registers students / parents' complaints and attempts to address the same.
7.2 Students clubs -
Co-curricular and Extra-curricular activities committee at DSBA hosts a wide range of co-curricular and extra - curricular activities through student led Marketing, HR, IT, Finance, Cultural, Literary and Sports clubs. Students plan activities of these clubs with the support of faculty coordinators and take active role in organising, coordinating and conducting the events.
7.3 NSS and NCC -
DSBA has established a National Social Service - NSS unit affiliated to NSS Bhawan, Bangalore University through which DSBA students take up social activities. Faculty coordinator oversees these activities. DSBA was granted with NCC wing on 6th February, 2017 and is affiliated to 2 Karnataka BN NCC Group 'A' Karnataka and Goa NCC directorate. Total NCC Cadets Strength Allotted to DSBA is 54.
